Labrador retriever,
Golden retriever and
Flat-coated retriever.
These retriever breeds make up 75 - 90 % of us. Our other breeds are Finnish hound and Bernese mountain dog.
We Teddy retrievers consist of these fine breeds.
The advantage of mixed breed dogs
Dogs have more than 650 hereditary diseases. Many of these come up, because the gene pools of pure breeds have shrunk. This is why puppies of pure breeds inherit diseases more easily both from their mother's side and father's side. Most hederitary diseases appear, if they are inherited from both parents.
Woof! Woof! Of course, also we mixed breed dogs can get sick, but our genes come from a much bigger gene pool, and this is good in terms of health. So, the risk of inheriting the same gene allel, which causes a disease, from both parents is much lower. Our breeder says that she is convinced of this, too. She has been breeding puppies for 30 years, including breeding of mixed breed puppies for 10 years.

What we expect from a buyer
We puppies and our breeder hope the most that buyers have a lot of time for us at the new home. You can gradually teach us to be alone, but we don't like it as adults either. We don't want to be alone for long days.
A social adult dog behaves well, but it is important to start socialization right from the puppy.
We hope, you will teach us the basics little by little, but we can still be puppies.
Teddy retrievers are

- fairly thick-furred and long-furred/ some puppies are short- haired
- either black or blond, some have white or light brown patterns, too

Seller:
-takes care of the puppy well and with love
- chips and registers the puppy in the official Finnish registry
- worms the puppy according to the instructions of the pharmaceutical factory.
- gives the buyer good instructions and gives advice also later
Buyer:
- has carefully considered the purchase of the puppy
- The seller helps the buyer examine the puppy, for she has 30 years of experience.
- The buyer takes the puppy for vaccination shortly after the purchase. Cancelling the deal is possible accorfing to our written agreement.
